Poem in Your Pocket Day April 30, 2009

Celebrate the second national Poem In Your Pocket Day on Thursday, April 30, 2009, brought to you by The Academy of American Poets.

The idea is simple: select a poem you love during National Poetry Month then carry it with you to share with co-workers, classmates, family, and friends on April 30, 2009.

At Spellbound, we have a special display featuring verses from children’s poets that kids (and adults) can take to keep in their pockets for this special day. Just reach in the basket, grab a poem, and put it in your pocket. Personally, I am planning to take something written by my favorite poet, the lovely and talented Susan Casey, off my fridge and put it in my pocket for the day. Of course, I’m lucky to be surrounded by volumes and volumes of poetry at work all day.

Speaking of which, don’t forget that all poetry books are still 20% off… April only!
