Spring Cleaning (and then some)

You know how sometimes you start out just wanting to clean out a kitchen drawer, and then the next thing you know the whole house is being reorganized?

If you haven’t been in the store since last weekend, you’ll be in for a pleasant surprise. We have done some major rearranging, hopefully making the store more browsable. (That’s a word, isn’t it?)

Where Middle Grade Fiction used to be: a new section called Nonfiction, Poetry, & Random Miscellany (and yes, that is a word!)

The idea was to do all the furniture moving on Monday, the last Monday before Spellbound goes back to being open seven days a week, so that we wouldn’t have any down time. Oops. We ended up re-opening around 3pm on Tuesday. (Apologies to anyone who stopped by and was surprised, confused, and/or horrified by the state of the store in the meantime!)

As mentioned above, it is getting to be that time of the year–the time when both locals and visitors start populating downtown more, so we’re back to seven days a week. From now until further notice, our store hours are Monday-Saturday 11am to 6pm and Sundays 12-5pm. (Chances are, we’ll announce plans to stay open later one or two evenings in the fall, but let’s just take one season at a time for now.) This and other updates are included in the May/June email newsletter, which should be going out in the next few days. (Otherwise, we’ll have to take  the “May/” off the heading!)
